Rope vs Chain Swings: Which Suspension System is Safer?
You have chosen the perfect frame, but how should you hang it? The suspension system is the literal lifeline of your jhula. Should you use thick organic-looking ropes or heavy-duty steel chains?
1. The Steel Chain Advantage (The Absolute Winner)
At Vrundavan Steel Industries, we almost exclusively recommend and manufacture SS304 Welded Link Chains.
2. The Aesthetic Appeal of Ropes
Ropes look incredibly bohemian and organic, perfect for lightweight hammock swings or wooden plank swings on a balcony.
3. The Solid Rod Suspension
For Sankheda swings, solid brass or steel rods are traditionally used instead of flexible chains. They are extremely safe but provide a rigid swinging arc with no secondary sideways flexibility.
Safety First: For any swing capable of holding more than one person, strongly insist on Stainless Steel Welded Chains.
