Packaging and Shipping Indian Swings Globally: What to Expect
Transporting a 200kg luxury jhula across the Atlantic ocean isn't like sending a post parcel. The logistics are critical. Here is exactly what happens after your swing finishes manufacturing at our Gift City plant.
Layer 1: Surface Protection
The high-polish stainless steel surface or delicate wooden polish is pristine. We apply a thin, self-adhesive PVC guard film directly over the metal surfaces to prevent micro-scratches.
Layer 2: Shock Absorption
The entire product is completely engulfed in 3 layers of high-density air bubble wrap. Following this, custom-cut EPE foam sheets (40mm thickness) are taped around all vulnerable corners and edges.
Layer 3: The Crate
Corrugated cardboard isn't enough for ocean freight. We build a custom wooden crate around the swing. We use only ISPM-15 certified plywood to ensure it clears foreign customs without quarantine issues. The crate is nail-sealed and strapped with high-tension nylon bands.
Logistics: LCL Sea Freight vs. Air Freight
Door Delivery
Once it clears customs at the destination port, a local logistics partner (like FedEx Freight or DHL) places the crate on a lift-gate truck and drops it directly at your driveway or curbside.
We handle the entire complex process so you don't have to lift a finger until it arrives.
